If it is left to receptionists to ask "if it is a planned pregnancy" then an argument could my made for patient confidentiality.

Well its been placed on receptionists at a local doctors surgery when dealing with positive results to ask if ******Its a planned pregnancy*****therefore leaving the door open.....

my freind said shes going to find it highly intrusive,but its part of a scheme....

also in one cubicle doctors fight to save a prem baby.next door ,one of the same age is left to die.I find that hard.Think many people use abortions as a form of contraception.Perhaps the adoption angle should be promoted more.I was adopted and had a terrific upbringing.

Some teenagers are very good mums when well supported. Some well established stable relationships fall apart when a baby comes along so what makes you think young teenagers should give up their babies for adoption. Or are you saying adoption is a better option than abortion?

I can see abortion being a choice in a rape case. I know I would find it difficult to raise a child of someone who had raped me or carry a baby to term as everyday would be a reminder of that dreadful ordeal.

Putting myself in that position...

It's awful for people that can't have children when they desperately want them (speaking as someone who had to fight tooth and nail and lost numberous much wanted babies and didn't think it would ever happen for me I KNOW that)....BUT the nurse in your example has the right to make her own decisions...based on her needs and her wishes...I'd say she was very careless but better that than unwanted children with a parent/s who ultimately don't care x

Yes I agree with abortion in the case of rape, and other circumstances but not as a means of birth control.

Abortion needs to be legal to stop the back street charlatans.

My view well I think it's a hard person who will have an abortion and forget about it.

It just seems an odd thing to advertise to me.We don't advertise the use of condoms,which would hopefully stop the need for abortions.

I think there should be an advert for contraception - but when that fails, perhaps abortion is a choice - better than the children who died through ill treatment.
Will probably get some comments about this, but if a young teenager has a baby, I think the baby should be given up for adoption to a couple in a stable relationship.

I think it a good thing. The more information available the better choices can be made.

Abortion should stop being a taboo subject.

Can't truly comment until I see it and where they place it (between which programmes).

I have a feeling it may make me feel a bit uncomfortable TBH.
