Morning Pusser Babes. Lovely here again, today. I said I would come back with an idea for you. It is fresh on my mind, because my sister was doing one at her church yesterday, and I once saw Alan Titchmarsh presenting a flower show where this was taking place.
How about a 'plant and seed swop' stall. You know yourself what it is like when you buy a packet of seeds, and there seems to be thousands, and you don't need them all. Similarly, I very often have two or three of a plant, when I perhaps only want one, and would willingly swop with someone for something else. You could charge them a small fee for the exchange. At this time of the year, I am sure it would go down well.
Next year, if you are still having your stall, set as many tomato plants as you can, and sell them, aswell as other things.
Well, off to clear the breakfast pots and get outside whilst it is still cool enough to 'work'. Still loads of plants to get out the greenhouse and potted up.

oh puss they grow a foot a day, flowers are nice like little trumpets.,,,,,,and wraps its self roung anything it can,,,,,a creeper,,,,,you can harvest seeds from them,,,

Pusser Babes, had a thought about your fund raising, though not new, built on the gardening theme. But, will have to tell you tomorrow. After a day of gardening, and a welcoming ice cold glass of larger, I am sinking fast. LOL. Off to do warm beef roll and salad for tea.

well when i went to pack them up to take they had more leaves, someone came along and said "oooooh morning glory i find them ever so hard to grow lol ) so all sorted thankyou xxxx

go to your local garden center and show them 1 of the plants if they are like my local gc they will tell you what it is

Take them to your stall and sell them as "Luck Dips" might do well. Hal.

Don't know, Puss, I'm afraid - need a photo. Hope you've got loads, so you can keep a couple and tell us all when you find out. I like Teresa's idea of Potted Luck plants - just explain you're problem to the punters and they'll buy one out of interest. What colour are they, btw? xxx

gwyn- dicotyledons . have 2, monocotyledons have one embryonic leaf. [ must have been listening at college.]But as to what they are-they could be anything. Sell them as Potted Luck Plants!

hi Gwyn there is just the one leaf nearly split in two and there on a long stem no other leaves, i know there not pansies, i got a pack of over a hundred seeds , these are the first out of the flower lot that has come up, im really trying hard to think but there was so many, i could have a google of comon garden plants bet there is millions but you never know x

How many leaves have they got and do they sprout from one main stem, ...or do the leaves all come direct out of the ground?
The trouble is that first leaves, - can't remember proper name, ...are sometimes not at all like later ones.

Have we got a list of flowers to choose between?

i am going to go and sit with them see if they talk to me x

green fingers i got eggsited and threw away the first lot of seed packets away thinking that nothing much will happen
but the day of the triphods has arrived i have kind of worked out some of the things even tho mushrooms grew instead of peas but thats sorted, ok the best way i can describe them is you know when you have purple sprouting and they look like butterflys well these are similar but much longer like two fingers, and there a flower not a veg, i need to know as im supposed to be selling them on my charity stall tomorrow lol xxx ps ii asked our priest and she is not green fingered lol so i could sell them aas a lucky dipish
