Hi Mary, can Mary go on to design and make other things to stretch her talents, she could have a career lined up for herself and certainly be able to get a nest egg for herself later on perhaps. What's she like making clothes or maybe little pram quilts but machine sewn, with all the oddments from the bags?
Good luck to her - shame about the website

Did you find my message?

Thank you Colin, I am very proud of miniMary as well, she has independently raised approx $1000 (one thousand!) towards the dog costs, with her tote bags. Our plans for a website for her, fell through, I paid someone to design it, then had a huge issue with PP trying to get that attached to her website, then it all just fell apart. She has a stock of about bags right now, but we are planning to go to a craft show in July and hopefully sell them. For some reason she doesn't want to stop LOL. She has found one of her talents.

Appreciate all your kind words .
Mary

Mary, I would also like to say how much you are appreciated. Over the couple of years that I have been following the fortunes of your two grandchildren and all the hard work you have put in to supporting them and their parents ... I stand amazed at you.
I would also like to congratulate the young lady who goes by the nickname of minimary for all her hard work in assisting with fund-raising.
xx Colin

You deserve all the help we can give Mary, you are a wonderful Mother and Grandmother with little time for yourself. I look forward to hearing about the dogs and hope that they will be a great help with the children.

You flatter me - thank you.
Well it's been quite a week, with one thing or another. Gareth destroyed the playroom at therapy yesterday, and took 3 people to apply pressure to calm him.Today Gareth is in good humour, since this morning when he cleared his entire tall
5-shelf unit of all his toys, books etc. in one fell swoop, when he was frustrated because we didn't understand that he wanted 'cereal milk'. (Interpret cereal & rice milk)
The dogs will be tethered to the kids when outside, not sure yet how much they are tethered indoors. Outside an adult will also have a separate lead attached to the dog for added control. They have been taught search and rescue, retrieval, and both seem very calm, should help enormously, especially with gareth's outbursts. The dogs should be able to sense mood changes and react by sitting and refusing to move, or laying on the child or - I'll find out soon enough.LOL. Some children have had huge changes with their service dogs.
Thanks again,
Mary

The words seem inadequate , but my sincere appreciation for a surprise gift received today, towards the costs of two Autism service dogs for my 2 grandchildren, Sarah and Gareth. The dogs are due to arrive on June 1st, I anticipate their arrival with a variety of emotions!!!!
To those who contributed to today's kind gift - by caring, by financial gift, by the creation of probably the most beautiful card I have ever seen, but most of all for sharing 'the life and times of Autism in my white house', thank you from the bottom of my heart, you know who you are, how do I deserve such kind and caring friends?
Bless you all, I am privileged to be here, among my cyber friends.
Mary
