That was brilliant! no wonder a sailor had a 'woman in every port' - he would be lucky to reach 30!
I lived in Portsmouth for a few years - and never went across to Haslar - it's a lovely building.
Bit spooky though, if you believe in ghosts -nearly 8,000 graves.
Must ask my mum about it - my elder sister was born there.

I enjoyed it too

Gives a new meaning to R.I.P.-I shall opt for cremation,I do not like the thought of being dug up upteen years later !!

With the proposed re development I assume it will not include that very large area ?
