latest is helen has had her op she is ok and had a biscuit and cup of tea this morning, all is going fine, she says to thankyou all.

There's nothing quite like that first biscuit and tea (well, for me it's muffin and juice, heh, hate that tea stuff) after an op. You haven't eaten or drunk anything in what seems like weeks, and there you are, you've come through the blasted operation and it's all over, and it's tea and biscuits time, make mine three! The post-op room after my 3 eye surgeries in the last 3 years is the only place I've ever seen a "tea lady". ;) Over here, tea lady! Mind you, I've usually had to be so sedated that I tend to pour my juice here and there ...

Anyhow, that just struck a chord for me, how much better it must be feeling to be having a biscuit and tea after the operation than to be waiting for it to happen. Best wishes and many teas and biscuits!
