She only has to go in for her exams - scarey stuff !!

Prom night at local posh hotel tomorrow night. Thank goodness she is not a girly girl and doesn't want a posh frock - just a new top to wear with her jeggins and boots.

Where have the years gone?

My Dad to the day he died never lost his daughter ....always there saying lend me this lend me that.

Remember leaving school does not mean leaving you.

((hugs)) to you.

I already have two sons, both in their mid/late twenties who have flown the nest. I am also a Nain to a gorgeous two year old grand daughter. Wish I could say I was 42 though. lol

This seems different though, she is the daughter I thought I would never have and although she has problems (ADHD & self harming) I am very proud of her and we are good friends. She is off to college in September to study Games Technology, then hoping to go on to Uni for a degree - now that will hurt.

xx

Libby be proud you have such a reason to be, she is your youngest and in a way hoped for (being a daughter not a son) , ofcourse you will hate it when she leaves and you will worry.
I say Let Pride overtake your sorrow for all that she has done

and let us at this end give you ((hugs)) at the sorrow you must feel

I have had a lovely afternoon with her and her friends - laughing at the photos and videos taken on their phones - lots of daft antics and their polo shirts covered in signatures etc. It's just as well that she has a spare top for tomorrow because they are having an awards ceremony in school tomorrow afternoon.

She tells me that she is never going to leave her Mummy (?) and is going to torment me for the rest of her life. That's ok with me as long as she eventually learns how to use her wardrobe and linnen basket. lol
