Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 12 May 2010 15:31

Hi,

I couldn't stop laughing at the above.

OnThe Wright Stuff this morning someone asked what the new Con/LibDem pact would be known as.

Someone said ConDem short for Condemnation. Oh dear, do you think it will catch on.

It just really tickled me. I blame it on the morphine!

Personally I would have preferred one party ruling
not a mixed bag. Emma x

I agree Rita, GB hasn't been so good that we can't afford to give others a chance has he? He has not done a lot for pensioners, maybe these will have other ideas. Perhaps labour supporters should be less sulky over the result and be more open minded.

'Emma' Report 12 May 2010 17:00

I'm very opened minded I did not say I wanted labour in.
Prefer one party to sort things out thinking it would be
quicker than having two who MAY not agree. Emma x

Rambling Report 12 May 2010 17:00

well apparently unless there is a 55% vote of no confidence from MPs in that time, they will have the full five years ...to make or break. They are changing to a set term .

My way of thinking is if you have more seats than
any other party then you should be in No10 like it
or not. Emma x

But none of them won, none of them got past the post. You could argue that more people didn't want them to rule than did.

I was Reading very quickly today about an alternative voting system where you vote for your first and second choices. At a glance, Seems fairer than a system where the libdems got a third of the votes but only 9% of the seats.

'Emma'

'Emma' Report 12 May 2010 17:35

I agree none of them won but still hope that in the
future they can come up with a better system.

I meant 23% not a third. Isn't that what the liberals want, a fairer system but as you would expect, the conservatives will be relunctant to give it.

Wonder what each party gave up from their manifesto
so they could rule together. We just have to trust these people and hope for the best.

Well for all I sakes, I hope it works with as least pain as possible for all of us. It isn't an easy job that they have do do.

Well I think we should all rest easy. Nothing to worry about.

Asked about the ConDem pact today, Boris compared them as a bulldog and chihuahua. I wonder which was which.

Fills me with confidence. Where's the morphine.

He said it was better than just the conservatives on their own.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/8677799.stm

Mr Johnson said: "You're not adulterating the Conservative brand by adding these Liberal Democrats, you're actually [probably] going to see an improvement.
"Maybe it's possible the British people have done something pretty brilliant.
"I think this new government coalition led by David Cameron will be like a cross breed between a bulldog and a Chihuahua - what I mean is that it [will] have a fantastic hybrid vigour."

People will I suspect be wanting thier hide in the coming months when pockets are hit hard, but down the line will probally say they were good as a two tone party..
I just hope Cameron with his spent years in parliment dont wash over the new baby kid on the block Cleggy.

Cameron hand movemnts are very much a reminder of Blair..!!!

Lets hope new blood will bring better for all.

Until we have people who have done a good days work in the real world( ie working class) not these snobs from privileged backgrounds, we will have the same old rubbish for another five years.

We need to look after this country before others, and put our house in order first.

David Cameron is the fifth cousin, twice removed, of the Queen.

Clegg's paternal grandmother, Kira von Engelhardt, was a Russian Baroness

Obviously got the common touch, this lot ........ I think not!

Gordon Brown is a man of true integrity who refused to bow to lib dems game playing and resigned to force camerons hand,

we will see who did most for pensioners in the coming months when the winter fuel payments are scrapped, and you have to find £8000 at the age of 65.
