My grandchild took part in a parade today,it was wonderful to see so many *oldies* which included vetrans and evacuees,wasnt dowdy at all then Vera blasted out,,,,,great turnout.....

Don't you wish that you had thought to ask your older relatives how they celebrated VE Day?

I know where my mum was on VJ day but oddly enough she never mentioned VE day though she talked a lot generally about that time.

VE day,my grandad managed a barrel /keg of beer from the brewery nearby ,bottles from the pub ,,got the table and panio outside and they all ended up like dying flies,:}}}}
