I am trying to research family history in Winchester, Hampshire. I have found a website where I can search the index for Teesside quite easily, but I cannot find anything for the Hants area! I hope someone can help me! The freebmd only seems to go up to 1950 or so and I need marriages for after then. Thanks in advance.

Ancestry have BMD indices up to 2005.

If you put a thread up on 'records', people may be able to help you, but the info found would be sent to you off board as the people listed may still be living.

Try www.genuki.org.uk as a portal for earlier records.

There tends to be a guide line that PR after 1950 are not transcribed for on line inclusion.

Are you in England?
If so, a visit to your local Records Office will be lucrative.
All Records Offices have BMD's for the whole country.
