hello Susan, on one of the other poems there is just the trace of it, on 'eyes' and 'close' so I am thinking it was the accent of his childhood, or his parents, that he can sometimes slip into.

I do like poetry :)

Sorry got very lost there lol, it seems to be the poster of the poem who if you follow through the link reads them himself, though most are not with the Irish accent...I thought at first maybe Richard Harris.

I remember that poem from when I did English Lit. I was never Yeats' biggest fan but I think that some of his poetry is brilliant.

And what a lovely voice they chose. It's a bit like listening to Garrison Keiller isn't it? What my mum used to call a "deep brown voice".
