Member Since: July 2008 Posts: 460 Send Message	There is a Linda J. Owen mariage July/Aug/Sep 1981 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex to Andrew Cable. Do you have any more info at all that might pin her or her family down to a particular area? Because your birth was registered in Colchester it does n't mean your mother lived there or even that you were born there, especially if your mother wanted to stay hidden at the time. Unfortunately Linda Owen is a very common name and you might find it easier, if time consuming, to trawl through the records at ancestry to get some ideas and then the electoral rolls. Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 6 Send Message	My name is Sally Anne and i'm trying to find my birth mother she gave birth to me in Colchester essex in 1979 and i was then adopted..my birth mothers name is LINDA JANE OWEN and i believe my fathers name was William but not a hundred per cent sure.. Can anyone help??
