True Puss

and you have done your bit for a helping shoulder, but that isn't just why you get it back
1 you are a lovely caring person
2 people like you
3 even when people don't know you they support those in need ...and thats what I really like about the site.

aww Puss sometimes it takes something like this to pull a family together, I loved my step-dad from the start it took them nearly 6yrs to make it legal mind, he actually kept me and Mum together. Glad you have had a lot of support by pm's from those who can give better advice.
I often wish I had joined here a year earlier than I did for the support the people give.

My babies are fine at the moment the pup is being a mummies girl and little 'un seems to be okay a bit wary but getting her "I'm a rottie status back" I forget sometimes how old she is getting when she has her kick ar*e stance on her.

Puss, in the bumff I pm'd you, one of the things you might have missed was that Chemo and radiation therapy are not normally given for your step dad's cancer, as it is normally treatable via surgery, or laser treatment/chemo creams etc (the last two in the early stages)

My understanding is that this next lot of surgery will determine whether the cancer has stopped being in one place only, and has spread elsewhere, usually the nodes in the groin.

Onece they know what the extent is, they will decide on chemo and radiation... radiation if it has spread to the nodes, usually.

The bumff is a bit difficult to understand, I know... did you go onto the Macmillan site I mentioned? That is worded much more understandably.

Good luck to your step dad, and ((((hugs))))) for all of you

Love

Daff xxx

heard from hospital he has to go back in on the 28th for the other operation, not understanding cancer as I've never had a family member with it I've wondered why they haven't zapped it with chemo or radio active thing, is operating a first port of call as that's least invasive i guess depending where it is, it is in a operable position i guess ? xx
