Must admit that we haven't watched an entire episode since Sgt Cryer left. Wasn't too keen when it became a soap.

I. too, love The Bill and I actually quite like the new format of one hour shows.

However I think television has gone downhill generally because of the number of channels there are these days, all of them competing for the same advertising and so there is less money to go round and without the money they just can't make decent programmes.

I agree Jean I love the Bill and have watched it from the start but it has gone down hill in the last couple years. What has happened to our tellie it used to the best in the world not any more.

We have watched this programe from the beginning. It went downhill when it was changed to the 9pm slot and they kept changing the days. They should change it back and get the old script writers back. I am surprised that I have seen no comment in the press about the axing of this show. Does no one care or is comment being suppressed? There is so little except old Agatha Christies, game shows and reality shows that the length of time we watch real time tv has been shortened quite a bit and we mostly watch recordings of old series that we missed when out first.
