Dear All

Hello

Hope you are well.

Election Day is here.

If you choose to go and vote or not vote, please take a moment if you can to remember the people, and some of our own ancestors, who fought and worked so hard to get the right to vote.

It wasn't until 1928, that women were now able to vote from the age of 21. Before this, only women over 30 who met minimum property qualifications could vote.

Take care all
Very best wishes
xx

I did go and put my cross on the forms today.

In some countries, even now, people don't have the right to vote, or are too frightened to vote.
Don't want to get all party political, but I do think of all the people that would love to be able to vote, and my ancestors who were not allowed to vote, when I am feeling tired and don't want to go out.

We ahve it so easy, the polling ststions are close by and we have the right to a postal vote. It just couldn't be easier!
(Unless you were in one of those long queues, in some parts of the country and were refused your right!, but that's another story)

I went in around 6pm and there was a small queue, I have been voting at that place for over 20 years now so saw some old pals to chat with whilst there.
I have voted most years of my voting life.

Off to see what's happening,
catch you later.
