STRAY DOES MY IRONING

My mum reckons that if I ironed things (like bedding) it would take up less room in my overstuffed airing cupboard.

Problem is, I'd have to empty out and iron the contents of said airing cupboard to see if that's true!!!

I can still stuff a few more bits in......

A clearout - that's something I could be doing with. I stand there practically every morning and say "I've nothing to wear" and the wardrobe is squished full of stuff that I don't wear / don't want to wear / doesn't fit properly / doesn't suit me today ... drive myself mad!

Ah now.....I found the best way round that problem (OH's moaning about buying clothes that is).......clear out your wardrobe first.

Accidentally keep leaving the wardrobe door wide open so that OH can see how empty it is.

Go out shopping for new clothes....."because I haven't got anything" (true!) LOL

Blows raspberry at Kemp... LOL - oh and "washing up" to you!!!

Good thinking ContraryMary - but I think if I went and bought any more clothes OH would have a fit! But I like your thinking.

No, no, no! Mrs Grumpy2010

The correct procedure for dealing with summer clothes is as follows:

1. at the first signs of spring, retrieve summer clothes from their winter hiding place.

2. wash them all and fold neatly - store in cupboard ready to be ironed as and when summer arrives and it's actually warm enough to wear thin strappy clothing (as if!!).

3. The sun is finally shining, summer has arrived......dash out to shops and buy summer clothes - having forgotten all about the ones waiting to be ironed.

4. Autumn comes and you find the clothes you'd washed months earlier......put them all in bag ready for the charity van to come round.

Job done and no irons were hurt in the making of this post lol.

I did manage to do all of it though.

I was thinking, earlier in the week, that I ought to tackle it and had mentally built it up into a huge pile that was taking over the spare room - like some sort of monster out of Doctor Who - but it only took a couple of hours (including a coffee break) so I was dead chuffed.

It's legal (allegedly)

Safe? Can be but might not be.

Fun? Frankly, I'd rather watch paint dry.

Hope...... that's why, lolol!!

If we do not have hope, then all is lost.

By the way, what is *ironing*? Is it fun? Is it safe? Is it legal?

Lolol ;¬))
