"Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) is a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache's existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS device can then try to locate the geocache."

Son's just started doing this... yesterday had us walking throught the woods trying to find the 'right tree' lol ( my legs hurt!) today he found one containing a Geocache coin... which had made its way here from Belgium..the idea is that you put something back to replace whatever you take out of the 'cache'...and with the coins you log them and then 'pass it on' so in theory they could travel the world.

I had not heard of this until this weekend. Have just finished reading a book, first published in 2005, where this was featured.

What timing Rose !!
