I remember JP from my yoof! Used to listen to him at the weekend while I was cleaning out the guinea pig hutches ...

I used to love Home Truths on Sat mornings too. I'd clamber back into bed with a cup of tea for an hour and woe betide anyone who disturbed me!

Without the late great John Peel so many great bands would not have had a chance.

We have the x factor etc and look at the state of the charts now lol

I used to like John Peel because he played music from bands no-one had heard of.He gave many of them a chance to become well known.

Never been a fan of JP's, he did the sunday night chart show on BBC1 radio, and it got to the NO 1 time and he decided to play track 12 of their album instead didnt go down way I can tell you...lol

I used to love Home Truths with the most excellent late John Peel.They tried to carry on for a while with different presenters but wasnt the same.He will certainly never be replaced.
