Went to see this last night. The Troggs, Swingin' Blue Jeans, Vanity Fare, Dave Berry, Brian Poole, Mike Pender (Searchers) and Peter Sarstedt were appearing.
It was a great evening, everyone singing along and dancing. The Swingin' Blue Jeans were especially good, as was Mike Pender. A lovely nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Anyone else seen this show?

Oh Sue - you little raver you!!!
Sounds like a great night. Where was it on?
I used to think Peter Sarstedt was great. Aswell as the well known 'Where do you go to my lovely' I loved 'Frozen Orange Juice'.

Not seen that one. But I have seen Manfred Mann, Chris Farlow, and Marty Wilde. Marty Wilde even at his age is still fantastic! :-)

It was in Cardiff last night. Everyone up dancing, singing and clapping, except the man next to me, poker-faced throughout. I think he had gone under sufferance as his wife/partner was having a great time!!
The show is touring the country, ending up in Liverpool.
Ray Ennis ( Swinging Blue Jeans) is hanging up his guitar after the last show :((

Karen, I was really looking forward to Peter Sarstedt. However, he was disappointing as he lost his place on the autocue in "Where do you go to" and ended up repeating a verse, which was then a bit slurry. Not sure if he'd had too much "sauce" before the show or just that he's getting old!!

This show is on in Norwich, I think at the end of the month, I believe I went to one a few years back.

There is a thread on Chat about the Rocking Berries, and I found the website that tells you where they are playing this year, mainly holiday camps and here in Hemsby a couple of times. That led me to Youtube and watching and listening to them and then on to other groups from the era, and also the wonderful Gene Pitney

What a nostalgia trip lol

Back down to earth and getting dinner, bye folks

Hi Sue,
I went to see the Troggs a few months ago in Shepherds Bush, along with the Animals, not Eric Burdon signing though but the bloke who did sing was fantastic if you closed your eyes you would have sworn it was Eric. And just a couple of weeks age I went to see Georgie Fame playing at Twickenham with his 2 sons, absolutley fantatstic, took me right back to when I was 17 going " up west "to the Flamingo club .
I took my 20 year old daughter and she loved his music .

We definitely have the same show here in Norwich on 23rd May, so o.h. said book tickets, will have to wait till later today so he can flash his credit card lol

Prices start at £5 for the people who sit at the back and then the next price is around £17.50 I think, that's a big difference really and is why I never could go to the theatre very much but as he is paying he can choose which seats to go for.

I remember seeing Georgie Fame and many others at the local clubs here.
