Hi Elaine, That is good news. And, I also do not know how it happens. As I said I have had the same problem and it is definitely the computer's fault.

Hi again you lovely helpful people, Son came up today, I think I may have done exactly what Aunty Sherlock says. He sorted it and I can now see the letters, must have somehow clicked on white but how I don't know. Thanks for your concern and help, don't know what I'd do without you. Lv to you all. Elaine.

Hi FD. Is it at all possible that you have changed the colour of your font and are typing in white letters on the white background.

I have the problem at work occasionally. Type something on the screen and then highlight where you have typed. If you have done the white letters bit it will highlight it but you still won't be able to see it.

This will solve the problem. I can not remember what the permanent fix is.

In the new email screen. Select Format Font and change the font colour to Automatic. Now if that does not make the letters type black change the font colour to black, or whatever colour you need.

Try a different e-mailer, such as Outlook Express. It may be only a temporary blip with your e-mail ISP. If you try again tomorrow it may be sorted.

I began to send an email new not reply and found that I could not see the characters I was typing in. The curser was moving but no letters appeared. This is on my emails not genes. Can anyone tell me what to do to see what I have written. Elaine.
