Denise van Outen and Lee Mead welcome baby girl

Denise Van Outen is said to be "ecstatic" after giving birth to her first child, a baby girl, earlier today.

Weighing in at 7lb 10oz little Betsy was born at 12.24pm and both mum and daughter are reportedly doing well.

Denise and West End star Lee Mead met on reality show Any Dream Will Do and married last year in the Seychelles before announcing the pregnancy.

Ms Van Outen has been looking ready to pop for some weeks now so no doubt the birth will come as a welcome relief.

According to PA, the 35-year-old said: "We are proud parents and very ecstatic."

Apparently Betsy takes after her father and has curly, brown hair. Since both her parents have appeared in the West End, she might even inherit their talent.

I hope theirs will be a long and happy marriage and that Betsy won't be an only child lol, Denise was a long time finding her prince so hope things work out for them all.
