Best Fish and Chips by the sea for me were Gabbies, Rothesey, Isle of Bute, Scotland. Served with Sas. Oh, the memories. And his Italian Ice Cream wasn't bad either.LOL

Our car always smells of something Jane ( usually wet dog or garden compost......lol )

Joan , two lots of fish and chips , neigh on a tenner !! OH treated me and we don't go in for " eating out " as in restaurants etc so it made a lovely change .

Edit to say ...I missed to there Julia.....Bute sounds lovely

Amanda2003, Google it. Now one of 'God's own country'. So beautiful, and restfull. Off to eat me salad now. Yuk, but needs must be, I am afraid.

I couldn't imagine living that far away from the sea Mac .........Whitby is a long way up the coast from here though ( it's a lovely place ) .

How much Mac!..........to take out as well! Cod &chips here in N. Wales for 2 for a tenner.........my daughter went to Whitby last year and said she had the best Fish & Chips ever...........I am wondering now if my cod is catfish!!

I couldn't be doing with all that getting dressed up to go out eating and it amuses me to watch the other folks in the lined up cars looking a bit envious because we are tucking into yummy fish and chips.....lol

Julia ....I've just realise how close Bute is to my friend who lives near Ayr so hopefully next time I get up that way I shall go and eat some fish and chips in Bute myself : ))
