Glad to hear you had a lovely time...........and I would just like to comment that it's great to see someone else who still calls the cinema the " pictures ".............my kids look at me gone out when I say it ! ......lol |

I too still call it the pictures.I went yesterday to see 'No where Boy' Story of John Lennon's younger years.It was quite an emotional journey for him. Well worth watching. |

lol Jane, flicks, pictures , movies.... the one thing I miss is the interval between the 'short' and the main film...with the ice cream lady lol. |

I think it comes from 'Flickering' Jane as that was what the original moving pictures did ( lol that IS 'before my time' I hasten to add !) |

Yep..... flicks!! We used to watch some of those at the Saturday morning matinee, the old black and white Abbot and Costello ones. I hated them, still dislike most slapstick......... then there always seemed to be cowboys and indians as well.... I hated anything like that..... even then I knew that it was all wrong. |
