Well, hopefully your batteries have recharged now, and it's all systems go... but do try and take another relaxing day.... after all, it is a Bank Holiday weekend... so you can't organise all those things, can you? So write yer list for Tuesday, tomorrow... and have a good brak. edit: break, even lolol

Now, listen to Aunty Daff..... it needn't be an expensive break... just a weekend without worrying.

Jane ....maybe the Flicks came about because the images really flickered in the oldern days ?

Rambling Report 29 Apr 2010 19:38

I think it comes from 'Flickering' Jane as that was what the original moving pictures did ( lol that IS 'before my time' I hasten to add !)

Yep..... flicks!! We used to watch some of those at the Saturday morning matinee, the old black and white Abbot and Costello ones. I hated them, still dislike most slapstick......... then there always seemed to be cowboys and indians as well.... I hated anything like that..... even then I knew that it was all wrong.

I must have been an odd child, as I still don't like the Pictures very much!

I used to slip in the fire doors to see a film ....and out the same way lol It saved me a shilling .
I go quite often on a Wednesday when it is OAP day (anyone can go) I am not OAP yet. They show the really good films that have been on ,maybe some weeks before, but it only costs £3.10..Bargain I reckon lol.
I go with my friends husband as he has recently retired and gets fed up going all by himself .Bless!!!!
