Good for you Joy. When I have had me cuppa and a f*g, I am off out to plant the two I bought t the weekend. Walked down the garden yesterday, and found that one I have over an arch, possibly the first I ever bought, is showing signs of being dead. So looks like I have another to buy, or a Passion Flower, which trails just like Clematis does.
Happy gardening

Joy, lucky old you, getting the two Passion Flowers. What did you pay for them, if you don't mind me asking, just so that I am prepared for the assault on OH's wallet.LOLOL

Good Morning Joy
My heart goes out to you, it must be very frustrating.
The one suggestion I can offer is this. If you have the clematis planted straight into the ground, put them into a large pot, and then put them against you arch. Though I do not have this problem with my dog, Benson would not be able to scrat them out.
Off to M******sons as soon as me nails have dried. Well, you do have to make and effort for the manager, don't you. Especially when you are one of his best cutomersLOL. Going to have a look at their Pansies.
Speak later.
