Thank you, will keep eyes open. Don't have any lillies this year but if they go on other plants it is handy to know what to look for. |

The grubs bury themselves in their poo and hide on the undersides of leaves.They get overlooked cos they look like small pieces of soil.The adults overwinter in soil so if you have lilies in pots it may be worth changing the compost every year. |

It's bright red . A bit thinner bodied than a lady bird . They do look pretty but believe me , you do not want the bu****s setting up home in your flower beds. When you see one on a plant and touch the plant the beetles fall on the ground ( on their backs ) it is much harder to see then then as they are dark underneath. |

Fritillarys are from the Lily family Teresa . I gave up growing lilies a few years ago. Pretty they might be ( thats why I didn't bother them them when I spotted the first one a few years ago ! ) . I am beastly to them now and kill ever one I see. |
