I dont think I would have any problems with the retest, but the Examiner
would need to be stone deaf due to my vocabulary of expletitives I have
picked up over the years, the languidge is very blue and some of the words I use you would not find in any dictionary,, even I have to stop and
think what I have just blurted out to some unfortunate soul sometimes, oops

I am sure that I would, although when I took an online test, I failed one question.. something to do with level crossings, " what lights mark a level crossing? flashing reds I thought, but i forgot about the amber one that comes on first...........

another thing that annoys me, nowhere have I managed to find the CORRECT written way to negotiate the roundabouts that have extra lanes that "GROW" from the right hand side......two lanes enter, and a third grows some distance around a right pointing arrow in the right hand lane and a straight arrow in the middle lane.....and in this case two of the left hand lanes (nearside)are cross hatched out!!

they are dotted lines, NOT solid, which to my mind means that you dont HAVE to follow them like lemmings.......but drivers seem to insist that THEY have the right to push a middle lane vehicle to the left, where it cant go.....because of the crosshatch......

this roundabout is in peterborough,

I consider myself a good safe driver, but down the years have developed a few slovenly habits that would have failed me on my test in 1973

I am the same as Ann, can not parallel park to save my life!!. My reversing is not much kop either. lol. Apart from these faults I consider myself a careful and considerate driver. My husband says I am a "slug" just because I drive within the speed limits - he has had 2 speeding itckets and I have had none. Says a lot really.

To answer your question - don't think so!!

I consider I am a good and careful driver but so many things have changed in the test since I took it that I don't think i would without revision lessons. I am hopeless at parallel parking, and avoid it, not good at reversing using the mirrors because when I learnt we didn't have wing mirrors my instructor taught me to reverse by putting a matchstick in the rear window and telling me to line things up with that lol! When I learnt in 1962 we were still using hand signals, there were not even any motorways I don't think.
