could someone tell me how to find out about finding out war medals issued during ww1 cos an ancester of mine collected a couple and i am not sure what they were

Researching:
ratchford. jerrom. evans. collar. mccoy. mostly hsmmersmith east london uk area

Most got 3 medals - commonly called Pip. Squeak and Wilfred after a popular cartoon of the time.

I am sure if it was from WW1 you may be able to get there medal cards over t'road or if you know the regiment you can google it and they may have a honors list
