got an antique butter dish today

i think it very old,

hubby been telling me to get butter dish, tho it only him who has Butter,
i noticed 2 in charity shop today near us, and the were clearly very old,
blue and white but the white bit was near greeny blue,
well,
the small and almost like , maybe even are , cheese dishes,

on base of it it says Victoria Ware,
with coat of arms, on

well it would appear its a kind of flow blue ware,
they talk of it a lot on victoria ware sites,
it seems to date from 1837 judging by the coat of arms on underneath of dish
and is , as i called it by coincidence, (unless spirits told me, lol)
a butter/cheese dish

You will now wash the butter dish and place it carefully on a shelf where it can be admired and not damaged.

Then you will go to your usual kitchen cum junk shop and buy another "butter dish to be used every day" for the hubby.

Nice one Julie, I too would wash it and keep it away from fridge etc as it might be worth a bob or two more than you paid for it, get a plastic one for o.h. to use, they don't make such a mess if dropped and with babies and dogs about, glass shards even tiny ones, are dangerous and you can't always see where they go. Plastic is safer lol
