More misfortune for my daughter!

My daughter is safely home from Portugal after the delays. They'd pre-booked train and ferry tickets on Tuesday as the flight ban was extended. When the ban was lifted again they decided to fly. They have got a refund for the ferry but, of course, not the trains.

On the way home from the airport, her friend and neighbour had to break the news that her car had been badly damaged by a builder; bricks and rubble in evidence in the road but no-one witnessed it and he scarpered!

Thanks both of you!

What a rotter to do all that damage and drive off.

At least she's home safe so we are glad of that!

I'm glad they are home ok.
What a pig of a thing to happen. Chances are maybe the builder didnt know it fell off and hit car, maybe a skip over loaded etc
On the other hand he maybe did just do a runner.

It's a very quiet side street so I am guessing he did know and drove off hoping no-one noticed.

It's just added to things this week.

At least they're home safe. Luckily she has a sense of humour!

Could alway blame it on the ash lol
Any work being done in her street? Very hard to prove though :((

No, no works going on at all. There are a few shops at the end of the road and people often park outside the house and go to the newsagents. With no evidence the culprit has got away with it! :(

It's annoying though when you get damage done like that. at least if she had reversed into a post it wouldnt be so bad lol

. Went outside today and got hit by a bag of frozen sausages, a chocolate gateau and some fish fingers. Someone said it's a fallout from Iceland.

I think it’s too soon to make jokes about the Icelandic volcano…we should at least wait until the dust settles.

Sorry lol

A lot of it has settled already in my house.

At least that's my excuse for the dust on the mantle....spiders' webs, though, wouldn't have guessed volcanic dust had those in it.

What a good excuse not to dust. lol
