Awhile ago i put up thread about afriend of mine who had bowel cancer,and had abag fitted bu then got hernia and she kept getting sent to different hospitals she looked as if she was 6mths pregant,now 18mths later and there going to operate on thursday morning,and i no shes worried so please could we send her some of the strength with have as it does help

Hi Dutch, sending Val plenty of positive and healing thoughts for Thursday. I know she has had an awful time of it but hope tomorrow will be the end of her pain and troubles and she can start to live again.

Hope all goes well for Val and she will come out of hospital feeling lots better, she's had to suffer all that for far too long, and been shoved from pillar to post, poor woman.

Just had phone call Val went the hospital was left sitting there from 7,oclock till 3 oclock ,they said they could,nt do the operation as they have just found she has diabetes ,she ask when they were going to do the op they said in couple of months,i feel realy sorrow for Val all this time and still getting no op she has to go and see her own docter about the diabetes,

Thats not unusual with a new diabetic. I had to run up and down stairs to get my blood sugar down beofore they would do a cataract op.
Will be thinking of you Val.

Jean the hernia its so big she has to put her hand underneath to hold it up ,she said sometimes its pushes the bag out i do hope they see to her real soon its been going on for quite some time well over 18mths

Oh Dutch, I'm sorry to hear about Val, I know they have to sort out the diabetes, but it's a shame that she has to wait again for her operation. I'll be thinking about her!

What a shame for Val, surely these things should have been checked out at her pre op assessment which should have been more than a day before the op?
I hope her diabetes can be dealt with so she can have the op soon, but I would think it would take longer than a couple of months to get things stable enough to do the op.

Poor Val, she must be so fed up.

GoodMorning all from asunny day here ,Liz they did check everything and the results were good ,but found that out shes so fed up some time ago when she went the hospital they said they could,nt operate as there was risk,then another one said they could do it,and one docter told her it was the lifestyle just get on with it,and now when they were going to do the op this happends i do hope they dont keep her waiting very long again ,and thank you for your support for Val

Aw Dutch, this is awful, that poor woman has had to put up with it for so long, then to have her hopes dashed again like this. Tell Val I am thinking of her and hope she can get it done soon.

Just been talking to John Vals hubby and he was telling me that the hospital think shes got diabetes,and told her to go and see her docter to get it sorted out ,i think thats wrong it should be the hospital to do that she had blood taken on the day she went in so its going to be months again before they can do the op,John is going to let me no how Val gets on so sending postive thoughts and hope they put amove on and get it sorted out
