i'm sooooo glad to be a family historian and the buzz it gives me all the time-there is a little museum in Wheatley hill and I had a patient a year ago who helps run it, he's been a mine of info-he recently came back into hospital armed with a picture of "my twins", the museum had long wanted a pic of a famous Thornley pair of twins, who happen to be my dads cousins, and who were dwarves, the society had always wanted a pic of them and my dad and I also, a lady came in a few weeks ago and gave Billy a foto of "my" twins and the first thing he did was to ring me and tell me he had it was coming into hospital and was bringing me a copy of the pic, he arrived and gave me the fab pic and has loaned me 3 brilliant books published by the Wheatley hill Histical Society which are now out of print and contain numerous reference to my family. Billy is such a goldmine of info as well--a HUGE thankyou to a most generous friend |
