Dunno, I'm on .co.za....no flash ads there, just a couple of boring banners for friends reunited.

If you're using IE7 or IE8. You can download IE7Pro.

This includes an adblocker & also a spell checker, that works in the GR dialogue box. Only problem with it, its an American spell checker & you'll have to add the proper English words to its dictionary as needed

Thanks for your help Stevie, but I'm not.

I'm quite happy with the browser that I've got with it's spell checker. I'm actually quite happy with the za site. Normally I don't notice the ads but the one for glasses is really annoying me for some reason.

The good thing about AdBlock (I think not a lot of people use it this way) is you can also block out pointless graphics on a page. I block all the banner ads for FriendsReunited etc. That means I don't have to scroll down so far to find things. Also, I really hate orange. I block the tophat guy, and that big coin thing, and anything else I run into.

At Ancestry, I block all its leaf crud. At FreeBMD, I block the Ancestry ads up at the top and various graphics for links to things I never need to use.

At news sites, I block all their scrolling headlines and logos and anything else that annoys me.

I'm a minimalist girl and I prefer to live in a minimalist cyberworld. ;)

The problem with AdBlock is that it stops you from seeing the crud -- but it doesn't stop it from loading. So here, for instance, I still have to sit and wait while all the garbage loads. but at least I don't have to look at it -- let alone *hear* it!

When they invent one that stops the crud from laoding at all, I'll be camping on the sidewalk overnight to get it. ;)
