Some travel insurance policies are covering for ASH and some are not, you will need to check directly with your insurance provider.

If your airline has cancelled your flight then you will get a full refund from them or the opportunity to re book, therefore no need to claim through your insurance.

Good luck!

I can see problems for those who have managed or are managing to take an alternative means to get home. It was on the news this morning that many Brits who were stuck in Europe have used trains, coaches, cars and ferries to get back to England. Will they have those extra costs refunded too? Because you can bet your bottom dollar they will ask for it as well as flight refunds.

I think the ash is drifting away or getting lighter, they are opening Scottish and Northern airports tomorrow morning, did see they were hoping to open London tomorrow evening.

People will be claiming for parking fees too, so many have overstayed their parking time. However, I think they are only going to be charged normal rates with no penalties.

Ann.. I hope they dont get ripped off re parking etc. The car parks will have lost money too so I hope they dont rip off everyone.
