BEHIND MY GARDEN THERE IS A TREE
NOT A BIG ONE AS IN THE NEARBY PARK
THE PARAKETTS WERE PERCHING THERE EARLIER
THERE WAS 30+ IN A TINY TREE

IN THE PARK THERE ARE THOUSANDS
I CAN WATCH THEM PERCHING FROM MY KITCHEN WINDOW
BEFORE THEY FLY OFF BETWEEN 5-7 AM
THEY RETURN ABOUT 4PM


THEY ARE A BEAUTIFULL GREEN

I never knew they lived wild in this country. I presume they must have escaped at some time and then bred? How do they survive our cold winters I wonder?

Dizzi isn't dreaming; we have wild parakeets in our local park. They escaped from the aviaries years ago and live in the park grounds quite happily.
