I have someone on a 1901 census described as a step grandfather to the head of the household--- does this mean it is the grandfather of the wife to the head of the household OR is it actually the step grandfather of the head of the household as we understand 'step' relatives today? Thank you |

Just to finish this thread off & to help other researchers-- step grandfather in this case turned out to be the grandfather of the wife to the head of the household. |
