Maz, another good reason to lock them out of the vicinity!

Merlin - I've got one over on them - I forgot to feed them one morning - and they didn't notice!

....or maybe they've got one over on me the other 364 days of the year!! LOL

Obviously they have not got you fully trained yet so were seeing just how much you had learned and how much more was needed. **M**.:o)))>

Hi, having break - so m r Miu is working the keyboard!
I've just notice bits of wallpaper all over the house!
Betty has long fur which has been attracting the removed wallpaper bits - and she's been walking them all over the house.

I'm removng the old paper with spayer & paint scraper, so lots of little bits. How is it that people say 'Oh I've got one (in this case wallpaper stripper) you can borow' when it's too late!

The cats are 4 years old in July - so neither young nor old - but should know better!

As for cleaning windows - I have to lock myself in the upstairs rooms when I clean the outside - 3 cats fighting over space on a narrow upstairs windowsill could lead to vast vet's bills, if their behaviour on downstairs windowsills is anything to go by!

Try it with 5 feline helpers, lolol And one of those is Jethro.... he really is in a league of his own!

I am dreading painting and decorating... our bedroom is desperate for wallpapering and painting... but I just know....... lolol!!

Love

Sounds halarious Maggie. My dog once years ago decided I had done enough yard work and walked off with my spade in his mouth.

Curiosity.....etc. It's their home and they need to know everything that is going on in it. They only become frightened when it's someone else causing upheaval - not their owner.
They also like your company and probably think you are doing all that work as a means of 'playing' with them - even if they are old - they still like to have your attention.
You should feel flattered - or at least, they think you should!

Oh! What joy I'm having!!!
Decided to strip the wallpaper in the lounge, put up lining paper and paint it.

This is the second extended weekend I've been doing it., and have 3 cats who are 'helping'.
So far, amongst other thngs:
Mr Miu went up the chimney - he's black - I couldn't see the soot - but he was covered!

Betty - the main 'helper' finds the pasting table an excellent bed.
I remove her, turn around to get the paste - she's back!
I had pasted paper on the table when she decided to jump up once - had to wash her paws.

When I'm measuring the paper, holding it against the wall, then creasing it so I know where to cut - Betty comes along and sits on the paper - making many creases!!

She loves plastic bags etc. I had some spastic sheeting covering the floor etc, and on the sideboard where the paint tray was. Betty waited until I was up the ladder, then decided to lie on the plastic - I could see the paint tray slowly sliding towards her.....

Fortunately I caught it!

Since then, she has ripped the sheeting to bits!

I climb the ladder and have to look down before I descend - invariably there is a cat on one of the steps - shouting appears to have no effect on them - they don't move!

I emptied out a bookcase, had just unscrewed the last screw holding it against the wall, when George decided to sit in it. Holding a floor to ceiling bookcase against the wall whilst trying to remove a cat is no easy feat!

I thought cats were meant to get frightened when there was upheavel in a house - mine just seem to think it's a new playground!

...just realised why it's taken me so long......
