Who can see my tree?

I've just been told that a relative has seen my tree and identified (correctly) an error in it. I have not given this person access. It definitely happened, she's right about the error. I would never allow her access, we don't get on at all.

How can this be?

Maybe you should ask GR as this shouldnt happen.

Is it possible that she has seen your tree because you have let someone else see it who has then added it to theirs, then your relative has just contacted them through a 'search' ?

Rambling Rose,

You are probably right about that, as I had a similar situation.

A contact had added elements of my tree to his and, because of a Hot Match list another GR member worked out that my tree must have the same mistake (which it wasn't, as it turned out - we were right.)

So Kathryn, I doubt any security breach has occured.

Perhaps, like me, you should litter your tree with absurd and intentional mistakes. It's quite amusing how far they can reach. Of course you'll have your accurate tree safe and sound (and backed up to a memory stick!) on your 'puter at home.
Or am I being nasty? Hmmm, no, not if I've done the work.

I have been off for a couple of days, on coming back on just a minute ago I find that my messages start at 2009.
There seems to be nothing I can do to read my new mail.
Has there been some NEW addition to the site?
And if so, when did it happen.
I know I am a bit off subject but felt that it is all connected in some way....
Deanna .... X....confused AGAIN!

What was the error? A year or birth or birth place?

She wouldn't need access to identify those issues, she could just search on a name.
