Hi Nicky,

Recorded the programme but watched the last song, and have seen Rod on tv programmes over the last couple of weeks being interviewed etc.

I saw him live many many years ago and again at a Concert at Wembley in 1997 but since his throat problems he sings differently, still good but not that raunchy sound as before.

Hope you enjoy yourself next summer, at 02

Must admit i`m not a big a fan as i was in the 70s while at school, and his voice isn`t as good as years ago, but think his a great entertainer, and looks great for his age.

Have always wanted to see him and Elton John { my other 70s favourite}

First cut is the deepest/I don`t want to talk about it were a double A side and were number 1 the week i left school in May 1977...those songs always take me back to my school days.

I managed to get OH to say he`d come with me....!! and justified the cost by saying it could be my birthday present which is a week later....

If your going to get tickets, do it soon, as they`re selling out fast, couldn`t get anything for May 29th Saturday night, but 2 extra dates have been added Tue. 1st june and Thurs. 3rd...we`re going on the Thursday....

altogether now...

FANTASTIC !
Went to see Rod at the MEN last night. Had a brill evening; sang along in my tone deaf way, jigged in my seat and even hubby moved his legs and clapped !!!!!!
What a performer. ! Kept the audience going and even respected his supporting artists by standing back out of the limelight whilst they performed and were highlighted with the cameras and lights.
Did his partypiece of kicking signed footballs into the audience about 30 in total.
Want to go again.
Hope everyone else enjoys.

Joan, I am glad you enjoyed your evening and that Rod lived up to your expectations and more.

Let's hope you can get another opportunity to see him perform again some time.

Joan...

So glad you enjoyed the Rod concert.......we`re going on Thursday, think its Rods first night at the O2 tonight....... Have managed to book a Hotel {quite cheaply} in Docklands, so will be nice after concert to go for a meal and a few drinks without all that rushing to try and get the last train.......
