They are bound to be disappointed, but children are far more resilient than we give them credit for sometimes. I bet it will take you much longer to accept it. You will have to have a double celebration next year, assuming that we will all have been vaccinated and much safer by then!!

It will have come as a huge disappointment to thousands tonight and I will be curious to see how many break the regulations.

It has hit hard YG and I am more upset for the little ones as they were so excited and counting down the days

That's so disappointing for you, LG. I'm just sorry that they have raised everyone's hopes, for them to crash round their ears now. I understand the reasoning behind it but it doesn't make it easier to swallow.

Well Xmas is completely cancelled for us as we are in Tier 4 :-( :-( :-(,. Weare so very upset as are the little ones

We could see them more if we could have booked a b and b and visited them during the day. No chance of that so the rule is one overnight stay in their house. Better than nothing

I can't make nor tail of the restrictions for Christmas. It reads as though you don't have to see three households all at once. So your could see one famiy one day and another on a different day. As long as you travel only between the dates, but surely if they are saying you can travel to see family bubbles between 23 and 27, doesn't that imply that you might be away from home more than one night! I am totally confused!!

We will go early Xmas eve and come back Xmas evening so we will spend Xmas morning with them which is always special <3
