He says the water has gone down so he should be ok. There are 3 of them there but there is so much cleaning up to do that they are always late. They were behind with deliveries too as they had to do them with the tractor and trailer instead of the vans.
Chico is keeping my feet warm as he is in his favourite spot on my footstool :-D :-D

LaGooner Report 24 Dec 2020 18:54

It always seem to happen just before Christmas. We had the big floods here last year in December.

I have to agree about the cold. I went out to clean the car windows and couldn't feel my fingers. I was only out there for a short while. In fact, I'm still a bit chilly now and have just turned up the heating. I think a hot water bottle will be accompanying me to bed tonight!! :-D :-D

Evening YG, it has been freezing here all day and the wind was bitter. I could not feel my hands when we came back from the churchyard earlier. I still have not heard anymore from baby boy and I am hoping he gets home OK. Unfortunately his shop is right next to a big river hence the flooding.

Evening everyone :-)

Maz, I'm not surprised that you have snow up there. It is absolutely freezing here and i wouldn't be surprised to see a sprinkling over the next couple of days.

LG, your poor baby boy :-0 :-0 Judging by the weather here yesterday, I guess it was the lousy weather that caused the flooding. It must have been awful for him. I bet he is happy to have finished his really busy spell now :-0

I nipped to the local shops late morning and it wasn't bad at all. I really only needed milk and a couple of odds and ends. I have done a small amount of ironing to clear it, vacuumed through and then R phoned to say he was popping in to put up the new blind in the lounge. All done and dusted mid afternoon, then he was off to the tip and going over to Sheffield to lay a wreath for his dad.

Just going to cook my tea, then my feet are up for the next few days :-) :-)

It really has been a tough one and now we have the Brexit deal sorted so that will be one thing out of the way. I have just said to OH that what will be will be and seeing as we cannot alter things just suck it up and carry on whether it be Brexit,Covid or anything else this s**t year throws at us :-D :-D :-D :-D/

It is just us 2 for Xmas so it will be a very quiet one for the first time ever :-(

Mazfromnorf Report 24 Dec 2020 15:16

Yes Maz we are to scared to go out now, literally scared, our neighbour in his 80s has been told by the surgery doesn’t have any vaccines left, I don’t understand how that can happen.

Evening everyone :-)

What a wet, horrible day it has been. I met my friend at the outlet and we sat and had a coffee and hot chocolate, then we were cold, so had a socially distanced wander round/ Got a couple of bits that I needed and was glad to be home.

M's brother visited me very unexpectedly this morning and held me up, so the jobs i intended doing didn't get done! I will tackle them tomorrow, as I don't have much else to do. I finished the wrapping, but have refrained from putting tags on them all. They each have their own bag with their names on, so I am trying to be kinder to the environment!! That's my excuse for lack of motivation now!

I've had some bad news about a colleague who line managed me until I changed over to being managed by the CEO at the beginning of this year and it has really upset me. I didn't think anything else could be thrown at me before the end of this year and I've had more than enough now :-| :-|

We are in tier 4 now but we have all we need so no need to go out, it’s very worrying what with the new variants.
