We still have enough food and drink to last a while, if push comes to shove we have powdered milk and meals might not be what we would normally put together but this isn’t normal times.

But of course, LG!! They can't miss a bargain, but will then complain if they move into a stricter tier! I haven't even been near our town centre, not that its worth visiting anyway and I am too old to be interested in walking my feet off round a mall :-0 :-0
The announcement comes tomorrow, so we will see :-| :-|

Right, bedtime for me, LG!! Sleep well. I'll catch you tomorrow :-)

Cheek by jowl in Manchester and Liverpool city centres. Do they consider sale goods more important than their health.

YG Report 29 Dec 2020 22:30

That will be no surprise, LG!! The police have turned away hundreds that have driven to the Brecon Beacons, some from the South East and Gloucestershire :-| :-| I just don't understand what they don't understand :-| :-| :-| :-|

I really do think it is going to complete lockdown as I think it is the only way to curb it until the vaccinations are done. What's the betting there will be hundreds of morons out on New Years Eve :-| :-|

YG

YG Report 29 Dec 2020 22:21

Too right, LG :-) :-)

Just watching the news and wondering what restrictions we are going to put under tomorrow!! I am hoping that ours won't change as we are holding our own here.

Unfortunately that is progress for you. Give me a steam train over a stinky diesel anytime

YG Report 29 Dec 2020 22:07

The massive plant works here have almost disappeared. It used to be the heart of the town years ago. The Flying Scotsman is a huge part of Doncaster's history and there is a statue of Sir Nigel Gresley near the new Council Building.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 29 Dec 2020 21:50

Unfortunately not :-|. I love the Flying Scotsman, I stood on the footplate of it when I was very small. OH loves the Mallard class trains and has 2 model ones on display

YG

YG Report 29 Dec 2020 21:45

That sounds nice. It wasn't the Flying Scotsman or Mallard was it??

LaGooner Report 29 Dec 2020 21:39

I have framed a couple but I usually break them up and give them to a charity. The one I have just done is a train in full steam

YG

YG Report 29 Dec 2020 21:31

I am going to take my time with this one! I have jobs to do between now and next week to ensure that all is in order before the dreaded starts again next Monday, so will just do a bit each evening.

I was looking at them on Amazon, but the UK made ones are pricey. I got this one at half price for £6.50 and it is By the Thames in Windsor. R & M brought me one back from Scotland 3 or 4 years ago and I did it during lockdown. it is quite appropriate for now, as it is a castle, with heather and thistles with some of the words to Auld Lang Syne. Very pretty when completed, but wanted something different. Do you ever frame yours or just take them to pieces again!!
