We had something like that a few years ago Maz, but luckily I was off sick so didn't have to go out, not on that occasion anyway.

I went out to the shed to get something and it was up to my ankles. It has been very quiet though with no traffic, so that is one advantage! :-)

We have had 8 hours solid of heavy snow today. Very pretty to look at out there, but the roads are treacherous. The buses have been stopped and people can't get up the roads where there are inclines. It stopped about 4pm and it is quite mild out there now, so I am hoping it starts to thaw out overnight. I can't get my car out at the moment, so may have to walk to the crematorium in the morning.

Oh that's a lot of the white stuff, for down here anyway I definitely wouldn't have gone work as it is country lanes, no street lights etc and would have preferred to lose a days pay than damage me or my car.

we have about 5cm of the white stuff at present It has stopped snowing now butit is so very wet so it will no doubt freeze

I'm not good at alterations. I have never liked sewing so that's a big no no for me :-D :-D

I just take sleeves in at the cuff or move the buttons over.

I often find that sleeves are too long. My arms must be shrinking :-D :-D

I sent for a dressing gown a couple of years ago, size xl was fine but only one length which was to long for me so I turned it up. :-D

Maz, have a good meeting. I hope you don't get too much snow!!

My colleagues are coping ok, although only checking e-mails on their phones. They are completely drained of energy. I have had very little contact, so don't know much more at the moment. The CEO was supposed to be travelling up for our colleague's funeral on Friday, but obviously can't come now. We have found out that they are livestreaming the service though, so I have sent him the link.

ZZzzz, I don't buy a lot of clothes online. Only things that I am sure of in size, like leggings. I recently bought a coat and that's ok. I have had one or two dresses in the past, but have had to return them for a different size. There doesn't appear to be any standard to sizing nowadays and now that oversized items are all the rage, it makes it even worse!!

Gosh I hope it isn't the Coronavirus. Take care Maz.
