Everything is crossed for a full recovery, LG <3 I hope you are both ok.

Maz, the tests aren't perfect are there, if you can gat a positive, then a negative. I have heard of that happening before.

Cabin fever is setting in a bit now, but I noticed that the daylight is lasting another half hour now, so in another 2-3 weeks time, hopefully I can get out for a walk after work.

:-0 they really should make their minds up. prognosis 50/50 here :-(

News here is better ,thankfully the diagnosis has gone from sepsis and a fever ,a positive covid test then a negative .and now a UTI ,which I said in the first place

Evening folks
Just looking in been out for a plod through the snow ,this morning ,it has started to melt but looks frozen out ,we had a chippy type takeaway which we ate at the church this morning on route to town we did the fire checks ,and looked at the risk assessments .
Then popped on into town to Heron freezer shop to top up the freezer it was lovely just to stretch my legs spend time in the fresh air .
Hope you are holding on guys .

The white stuff is slowly disappearing. The roads are much better as long as you stau in the middle of the lane and not near the kerb edge. I drove to the local shops around 3.30ish and it was very quiet.

Its been a busy day, so the feet are up tonight -)

I couldn't get out of my gate this morning. The catch was frozen, but I managed to de-ice it. It is going to be a bit less cold tomorrow so they are saying the snow will start to melt slowly, then a dry day on Sunday. If I need anything I can drive to the local shops now the roads are a bit clearer.

I am going to bed now to read for a bit while I have a drink, then hopefully a bit of a lay in tomorrow morning.

It sounds as if it was a contemplative day ,the excercise maybe helped the energy side too
That sounds typical my gate wont open properly because of the ice .we are due more later some idiot is doing wheelies in the snow by racing round the roads and then across the green

Cold, freezing fog and the snow has barely thawed :-(

I should have gone outside and cleared it from and around the car last night, but didn't want to do it in the dark. I didn't have time this morning so I walked to the crematorium. It felt very strange with the fog and the sheer brilliance of such a huge area of snow and I lost my bearings a little. I got there too early bur fortunately a couple of colleagues arrived, so we were able to chat to pass the time.

It was a lovely service, put on loud speakers, and there was a livestream for those that couldn't attend. We were lucky enough to stand under cover as it turned colder and I was frozen to the bone by the time I had walked home.

Tbh, I haven't done much work today as I didn't feel like it. It was vey quiet apart from a couple of e-mails, so I think everyone was giving the day up to thoughts of our colleague and his family.

I finally went outside about 3pm and cleared the snow and put the last of a drum of table salt down around it. I surprised myself as I didn't think I would be able to lift the snow shovel, but I managed it. My neighbour came out but didn't offer to help, just commented on what heavy work it is!!

life is really tough at present with all the snow about its really cold .

we have a very crisp white scene here more snow is due tomorrow afternoon though
I find it kills my hips walking at different angles on the surface its so hard its not too slippery yet .
I have the weekend off need to go shopping tomorrow and do an errand then that is it
not moving until Monday morning then
