YG Report 9 Feb 2021 20:30

Evening Maz :-) We had a few flurries of the white stuff today, but some lovely blue sky and sunshine as well, so it has cleared the roads and pavements. More to come tomorrow though :-D :-D

I've spotted the robin in the garden for the first time this winter. Probably because i don't normally have time to stand and watch, but I put out some meal worms this morning, so all the sparrow and dunnocks were tucking in and robin appeared!!

I had two visits from the Council workers, one to do the annual gas check, then this afternoon I thought another was coming not realising it had been done, but he came to sort out the leaking gutters, so I no longer have 3 Victoria Falls round the bungalow :-D :-D :-D It is due for all new gutters, soffits and fascias this year so that will be a good job done.

YG Report 9 Feb 2021 20:17

You might have disappeared by now, LG. If so, sorry I missed you.

I have been busy cooking and devouring my meal and I really enjoyed it tonight :-)
I prepped the veg before I started work this morning and had everything out ready for when I wanted to start cooking. Even the dishes are done tonight!!

It's a wonder I'm not nodding off as I was up at 4am this morning with a cuppa and reading. I hope tonight is better :-D

Evening everyone :-)

LG, it's good to hear that all went as well as could be expected. The snow does improve the scenery, but definitely biting cold to stand around in yesterday. I'm pleased that OH is a bit brighter today. He will have ups and downs for some time to come, bless him.

My best buddie's m.i.l.'s service is next Wednesday in Peterborough, They are going to risk travelling, which I think they are entitled to do for a close family member.

Let us all hope that there are no more now. We have had four on this thread in less than 4 months :-( :-( I think we are entitled to a bit of happiness now :-0

It will take time as I have known of twins that I worked with, there is a very unique bond there and they feel each others emotions, and he has lost the other half of himself. <3

Good Morning all, all went well albeit the weather could have been better. The church and churchyard looked so pretty in the snow but it was not nice to stand about in.
I hope you are all safe and well and thank you all for your kind thoughts for us. OH was totally in pieces as is to be expected and I am not sure how he is today as he is still in bed after a very restless night. :-(

I'm so thankful that I'm working at home right now, Maz :-0 No clearing snow from the car or the road, or waiting tor the fan to clear the condensation on the inside of the windscreen, unless I want to nip out to the shops!!

Mazfromnorf Report 8 Feb 2021 18:03

bu the wet stuff is about also
I will see how the weather is tomorrow morning lol

YG Report 8 Feb 2021 17:44

Evening everyone :-)

It has been appalling weather here today, but really quite odd!! Plenty of heavy snow blowing across, almost horizontal!! It looked quite dry and powdery, but when there was the odd moment of sun, it tended to start thawing out quickly on the paths and road. It suddenly returned with a vengeance around 4.30 so we back to square one with plenty laying on the ground!!

I sent LG a PM and I also hope the weather holds out for them today, we have had mostly cold and slight snow so far.

YG Report 7 Feb 2021 22:15

I realised when I was doing the dishes that I needed to give the top of the cooker a good wipe down and anti-bac it as they are coming on Tuesday afternoon to do the annual gas check. I have a dual fuel cooker, with a gas hob and electric oven. Tomorrow evening I need to anti-bac the front of the boiler to comply with instructions from the council :-D

On Wednesday afternoon, I have to go to the hospital to see the eye consultant for a review. M is going to take me, drop me off and do a bit of shopping while I'm there, so that's two afternoons sorted :-D :-D Then i only have to work on Thursday as I'm off then for a long weekend :-) :-)

I'm off to bed now. I hope you have a reasonable night's sleep and I will be thinking about you tomorrow, LG :-) <3
