Well night night all, I'll be reading some more of the book The Radium Girls, I have to make myself put it down sometimes because it is so interesting and it is factual.

It's good to tell the birds are preparing their nests, as they are littering my back path with lumps of moss that they ar disturbing on the roof tiles. I've had to sweep up twice today!! That's the thanks you get for making them the best fed birds in the area :-D :-D :-D

Something has bitten me on my ankles three nights in a row and they have driven me mad iitching :-\ :-\ :-\ I have absolutely no idea what as there doesn't appear to be any midges around :-0

Lol LG, the one on hubby's side was given £300 hush money in 1855 to go away and have the baby, she opened up a milliners shop in Essex, married a solicitor, died of alcoholism.

Morning all, I was told my grandad was an Irish well to do who got Nan pregnant while in his service as a maid. Yeah right he was a Railway worker from North London :-D

Morning all. LG my Mum was told her Father was a respectable businessman from Reading but stories match with what mums cousin told me and a cousin still living said to me when we met and exchanged information, we don't know where the Reading bit comes from though as all mums side are from Newcastle and Durham and Yorkshire.

I had loads of lies told about who my Paternal Grandad was and it was not until I got a bit of a clue from an Aunt that I found him. It took me 11 years though :-0

ZZzzz Report 27 Feb 2021 21:20

The story was spot on, just the wrong girl. A bit like who my grandfather really is. :-(

I though I had one of my lot sorted until I had a hint come up for a Baptism of his son. Now I think I may have made a major error so that is one to relook at again

Lol LG it was a very long garden path. The story started in 1855 with an illegitimate birth, got complicated along the way as they do, but I sorted it out in the end.

It's good that you both feel better, sometimes me or us time is all the tonic you need.
I have in the past tracked a rellie on hubby's side, his mum gave me the whole story about this person, I followed her through censuses and where she died only to find it wasn't her at all but her sister.

Evening everyone :-)

Relaxation time is good :-) :-) :-) :-)

I have spent some time in the garden having a bit of tidy up of all last season's growth pn the shrubs. It was lovely out there in the sunshine, although a bit nippy out of the sun. The snowdrops are all out and the dwarf iris and daffodils. I washed all the back path, cleaned the wheelie bins and planted a mini fir tree that I had indoors in a little pot during the unmentionable season!!

I swept up all the mess down the path outside the gate that the hawthorn makes. There is always a lot of small, dead twigs and they have lethal thorns!!

After all that and getting a meal ready, I thin I deserve some relaxation :-D :-D
