My son was and still is houseproud, his house is always spotless. My daughter is much like me our homes are presentable

Our son was always immaculately dressed whenever he went out to work or socialise but his room was a tip.

I wish my kids had done all the cleaning while they were here. They did do their own rooms though and their own washing and ironing when they were older.

My sister in law is/was like that but it was her children that did the cleaning and when they all left she got a cleaner and bought a dish washer.

I could write a book about what she did to keep the house clean, one thing was she would drape a tea towel over the ironing board legs / feet when she folded it to put it away so there wouldn't be marks on the wall.....it was stored in a cupboard so no one would see it anyway.

I am not overly houseproud but those 2 things are a definate must be done jobs. I do like the house tidyish and thank goodness OH is the same :-D

Our house isn't dirty or smelly, I just that I'm not as house proud as I used to be, my Mother in law would paint over marks she marks she couldn't scrub off.

That is one of the jobs I never leave, that and lots of dirty washing :-P :-P :-D

I have in the past and more than once left the washing up til the next day morning, my Mum and Mother in Law would not approve of that.

I have found that some just copy stuff without checking first and as a consequence they have wrong people, wrong places which I had wrong in the first place and corrected but they didn't, serve them right, one or two don't want illegitimate children in their tree :-(

Hi there I was busy yesterday
Lunch club ,then two Zooms ,Cleo was naughty she sat on all my notes and would not move .she likes posing to her fans on zoom its really funny
I am doing some twig pruning and tidying my files to make sure the info matches for FH
I will need some pickaxes when I try to look at the mistakes but I love it when I get it right and others are wrong or they have not done the maths too !!

I will be at Bedford and Hertford and of course back at the local Archive of my local History Society where I volunteer once a week.

I shall be going to Newcastle Central Library and one or to other places there, then Durham record office and/or library.

That is the case for me,my niece and my cousin. We are all working on the same family and then compare notes and share information. My cousin researches the Lincolnshire sides for me which saves me a long trip :-D
