Evening LG :-) Yes, it has proved to be an excellent scheme. I used to save my change in a large whisky bottle, but then having to bag it and go to the bank was a pain in the rear end, so when they brought in this scheme, I jumped on board. The number of times that I have tried to put £30 of petrol in the car and it has gone over by 1p, so that was 99p into the savings straight away. It builds up really quickly and even more so now that I rarely use cash since the pandemic started!!

That sounds a really good idea save the change .

I save my change at the bank!! I have a Save the Change account, so every time I use my debit card, the spend is rounded up to the nearest pound and the change put into the account. I forget that it's there and it really mounts up without even thinking about it.

It is surprising just how much they add up to. We have what we call our shrapnel pot for odd coins and cash them in for my daughters 3 children towards their holiday

We had loads of coins in 3 money boxes, it took me a while sorting them out but there is £48.15 in bags ready change for notes tomorrow.

Good Morning all, not so pleasant today but it is supposed to brighten up in a while. I have just taken the bins out and it is a tad chilly :-D

My front garden only has sun very early in the morning but the back is in sun all day

I think the truth of it is that the back garden has the late afternoon sun and the front garden also, but the side lawn outside the kitchen is east facing and in shadow, so no sun to melt the snow :-D :-D It did look very odd though :-D :-D

We have had snow/sleet flurries on and off today luckily not settled, wait to see what happens overnight if we have snow that has settled, hope not.
