We had some heavy rain this afternoon its not very warm either again still

Afternoon, I do that every year to my Dad and Mother in Law.
We have just come in from a morning in the back garden as it has been dry enough to cut the lawn. The front one needs doing but it can wait until another dry day as there are black clouds looming :-D

Afternoon all, I've done a bit of ironing and tidying up upstairs, today would have been our Mother's 98th birthday so my Brother and I raised a cup of tea to her, she passed away 2003.

It was going to be morning all but I got distracted
just looking in before some lunch I am going to have a couple of hours doing some chores then will catch up on the unwatched TV

Morning all, the sun is out here at the moment but the grass is not dry enough to cut. I am just sitting with a coffee before showing the floors the vacuum :-D :-D

I don't have problems with seagulls here Gwyn as I am well inland but my daughter does as she lives by the coast :-D. I have foiled all the pests at the feeders one way or another. :-D

LG ..It seems as if you have outwitted the scroungers there.

I once tied the large rind off a bacon joint to a flimsy bent-over tree.
It was suspended on a length of string.
It was strong enough for birds to perch, but wouldn't support the weight of neighbourhood cats.
The seagulls eyed this up for a while, then took turns to launch themselves at it in a sort of forward dive grabbing whatever portion they could on the way down.

Evening ZZzzz, I have my bird feederd on a pole which I coat with vaseline to stop the squirrels climbing it and the dratted feathered rats are to fat to land on them :-D

We've had rain on and off today, hubby put up a fat ball holder on the fence but the Squirrels, Magpies and Pigeons tried using it and now its on the ground, it will stay there til morning now.

Lucky you Maz, it has rained very heavily for most of the day

It has been dry again today and quite warm too .got shopping sorted and some odd jobs .

Good Morning Gwyn, my green bin is due to be collected on Wednesday so I was hoping to get a bit done by then but I don't think it is likely :-D.

It's the same here, LG and quite dark too.

Had hope for a chance to get more into the garden bin before collection on Monday, but I think that's a lost cause.

I was exhausted when I got back from the hospital. They are doing something with the carpark at Outpatients and they have changed the access to the eye clinic, so had to go in the main entrance and then on a marathon. it's a good job I got there early as it took me ages to find it after miles of corridors to walk down!! Then they were running late, so sat for half an hour and decided to put my taxi bac and still just managed to get out for the original pick up time, so had to ring them again and ask them to come earlier! I didn't do very well with the charts, but they are new digital ones on a sreen and seemed very strange. Oh well, we will wait and see what the results are.
