Morning LG,

You are having a busy day.

I've been 'playing' online searching family links who emigrated to Canada.

They have such helpful obituaries, that give lots of family names plus their spouses.

Ironically I worked at a place that developed the material for hip and knee replacements then later at a hospital that used it.

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 23:42

Correct and my first one is now 8 years old and the second one is 5

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 27 May 2021 23:25

Ah yes that was because the matereal used only last about 10 years and the operation couldn't be done again I believe.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 23:03

I was too young and they wouldn't do both at the same time:-D :-D :-D.

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 27 May 2021 22:47

Why on earth did they keep you them that long, surly not good for you, although good that you have bionic knees now.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 22:39

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 22:27

I was on strong painkillers for 8 years when I had my knee problems so now hence I refuse to take any now

Night night YG, my back mine and hubbys backs are like that too LG so we do a bit then rest a bit, we try to avoid pain killers, hubby thinks it is those that caused him to be in hospital with an illness I don't want to talk about on here.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 22:12

I don't do too much at a time outside now as my back doesn't like it. Sleep well and enjoy your day off nite nite :-D <3

Good to see you back on board YG :-) and I hope it's plain sailing from now on.
I get on the scales tomorrow, I've put myself on a diet because there aren't any diet clubs near us.

YG Report 27 May 2021 22:08

No itchiness for me, LG. It does feel more like a summer cold minus the sore throut!

I am on leave tomorrow, so am hoping to get the food shop done then I can spend the long weekend catching up on some jobs. I might even need to cut some of the grass if the weather holds!
`
I am going to get ready for bed now, LG. Sleep well and if you manage to get back out in the garden in the morning, dont overdo it!! :-) <3

YG

YG Report 27 May 2021 21:44

I wondered whether I had hayfever the last time i had these systems. but I've wo.ken up during the night several times wet through with sweat and I have felt so rough with it, I have been very hoarse but no sore throat, stuffy nose and chesty with this damned awful tickly cough. It all seems to be clearing slowly now. Or is it a cold and they symptoms reduced becuase of the Covid jab?

LaGooner Report 27 May 2021 21:29

I hope he is on duty too YG, it sounds as though you have a good one there :-D. I am sniffling this evening but it is my usual hayfever

YG Report 27 May 2021 21:15

althoughIt went well, LG, although i was really nervous after more than 2 years since i had one. It didn't get off to a very good start as the elderly lady who went in before me apparently jumped when the doctor put the needle in her eye. He was very young and I wondered what i was in for!! How strange and remarkable that it was the nest injection I have ever had. I barely felt it and I have had very little discomfort with it through the day. i can't believe it. I hope is on duty for the second one next month!!

I am still suffering with the cold symptoms a bit but managed to hide them at the hospital by kepping my throat mosizt! I;m hoping for a better night's sleep tonight now that it's done.
