Me too, LG and i am 18 months overdue my eye test thanks to Covid. There's no point me going until I have finished this treatment though. I think after new specs, I am going to need in excess of another £600+ if not more, for the dentist as they will only take me on privately!

I am back
Got back in about 4.30 ,had a salad for tea with froggy .
I have unpacked a suitcase put the stuff away ,so there is washing to do in the morning now .I forgot how much of mums stuff came north on friday but will not take too long to tidy .
I am glad to be back but sad to be leaving family behind It will be October before I am down again I suspect

Ooh, LG, don't scare me off. I need to go for ew specs when I have had my second eye injection. I am already skint after the expense I have had with presents this month, and still have R;s to buy at the end of the month :I think August will be a good time while I am on leave and the coffers have been restored to some degree!!.

Evening ZZzzz, I have bought one pair of varifocals and got a pair of sunglasses for £30. I paid extra for anti glare on the ordinary pair as it will help my growing cataracts cope with night car lights etc.

I have to have my eyes checked next month, they are never cheap because they are varifocals, sunglasses, so effectively 2 pairs in one, cheaper than having separate pairs.

Evening all, I am still reeling after paying out for new specs :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0. Fortunately OH did not have to have new ones as his eyes have not changed.

Good Morning all, it is a bit cooler today thank goodness with a lovely breeze. We both have the Optician's today so we are wondering what expense that will be :-0 :-D :-D

:-0 :-0 :-0. My camera is worth nothing near that whereas OH's is a different matter altogether. Mine is basic but his does everything except change the baby. :-D :-D :-D

I just checked out what I could get if I sold my Olympus trip camera £179 goodness me that's a lot of money, the films are £20 ish I think.

I still have the box camera but I only use digital now as does OH with his new toy :-D :-D

I have an Olympus trip camera bought in 1978, no film in it though.

Afternoon all, we have a film still in an old camera to use up. We have no idea how old it is or what is on it. When M I L passed 2002 we found a film in her old box camera and had it developed, it was from the 60s

I definitely will report back, one of our neighbours rediscovered one a year ago, had it developed and her son was on it he at about 3 or 4 years old, he is in his 40s now.

Well that will be interesting to see !

The trouble was with films, one took so few photos because of the expense, that by the time the film was finished and ready for processing, we'd forgotten what was at the beginning of the reel.
