WE have our brains screwed on right .......................... for once!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 11 Jun 2021 19:41

We go into a small town near us sometimes for poundland etc but mainly into Aldi and home

YG Report 11 Jun 2021 19:28

You're doing the right thing, LG. I don't go into town and haven't done for over two years now. (pre-Covid!!). Mostly because I can only get in on a Saturday when its manic and the mall is full of kids who take up all the seats with their feet up (when there were seats!), The town is full of people begging and in quite a harassing manner according to reports, so I am well out of it, Sains, local shops, very occasionally As** and that's my lot apart from the local shops and R's.

R & M have both had both jobs, but V & B/f haven't had their first ones yet. At least I know she hasn't been anywhere for a couple of weeks as she is leave/I. I've seen her once this week and she is picking me up tomorrow to take me to the new house for a look round, then R is bringing me back when he has done the jobs! That'll be it then for a good while, so hopefully she will be vaccinated the next time I see her.

Only baby boy in this whole family has not had his second jab yet. We are still being super cautious and don't go into those towns at all.

YG Report 11 Jun 2021 19:08

Yes, I read that it was high there, and saw it on the news too I have just been reading that it is more resistant to the vaccine as well Just when I was getting a bit more confident!! Looks as though I will be bunkering down again. It seems to be nostly the younger age group which affects V and she is not having her jab unti after she comes back from a few days away next week,

That sounds promising then YG. We are having loads of cases of the India variant in Bedford and Luton :-|

I haven't heard anything about Poppy since Wednesday. C posted a video on Instagram of her taking Poppy for a walk, so she must be feeling better. She had to go back to the vets today for more blood tests and imaging, so probably had more sedation, I will message them later to see if the results are in.

ZZzzz, I agree with you. I can cope with the situation now, but at the rate the Delta variant is spreading, I am just hoping that we don't have to go backwards. We have no patients in hospital here with Covid right now, but the infection rate has gone up from last week, although lower than the national average.

I am trying to stay optimistic but its hard though I can live with the present situation ,as long as it does not tighten down again .
It is to be warmer here over the weekend so a challenge at work me thinks .
has poppy been poorly I have missed so much on here ?

LaGooner Report 11 Jun 2021 17:56

YG

YG Report 11 Jun 2021 17:46

Evening everyone :-)

It's been overcast and quite breezy here, but the sun came through mid afternoon and it has been quite hot. An uncomfortable night ahead, me thinks!

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 11 Jun 2021 15:19

I asked at the Pharmacy why they can't have his whole order ready at the same time, she said the didn't have two of his meds in stock so had to wait for the surgery to deliver them, silly me thought it was Pharmacy not a shop. :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 11 Jun 2021 14:27

Oh heck do they ever get things right. Our pharmacyis at the GP's centre so it is easy to sort out

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 11 Jun 2021 14:09

The usual H word stuff plus ready for a verbal fight with the surgery and pharmacy because they got hubby's medication wrong again.
